The Taliano Michele Winery is located in Montà d’Alba, in the Roero area, with vineyards both in Roero and in the Barbaresco region, specifically in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio (Alba). The winery was founded in 1930 by Domenico Taliano but has much deeper roots. Domenico came from a family of farmers known locally by the nickname “Re Cit,” meaning “little kings,” who had always been dedicated to working the vineyards and fields.
Initially, the vineyards were all within the municipality of Montà, in the Bossola, Rolandi, and Benna areas.
In the mid-1970s, the winery expanded towards the Langhe, acquiring vineyards and a farmhouse in Montersino, in the San Rocco Seno d’Elvio district of Alba, between the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco.
In the mid-1990s, the company acquired new lands and vineyards and updated its grape growing and wine aging techniques, thanks to Michele’s sons: Ezio, the winery’s oenologist, and Alberto.
Today, the winery continues to grow, with the acquisition of new land and vineyards. The winery has been completely renovated and expanded with a new underground section. In 2017, the current tasting room was completed.
Since 2019, thanks to the installation of a photovoltaic system, all the energy used is 100% green.

Our philosophy is simple: to produce high-quality wines that tell the story of the territory, while respecting the environment and the people who live in it.
Our roots are deeply planted in tradition, handed down through generations. We work with native grape varieties, enhancing their unique flavors and aromas.
We believe in a sustainable approach to viticulture, using environmentally friendly agricultural practices. We constantly seek new technologies and techniques to improve the quality of our wines without compromising the integrity of our land.
The “Classics” line expresses the authenticity of the Piedmont hills, where the vintner’s work meets the potential of the land. Freshness, structure, and a perfect balance of flavors are the hallmarks of this collection, ideal for any occasion.
The High-End Line represents the excellence of our territory, offering structured and long-lived wines. Thanks to well-exposed vineyards and aging in wood, each bottle tells the tradition of the Langhe, offering a unique and ever-evolving experience.
The “Dulcis in Fundo” line captures the essence of Piedmontese sweet wines, born from native grape varieties that convey the passion and authenticity of our territory. These are aromatic, delicately sweet wines, perfect for ending any meal with elegance and a touch of conviviality.
We invite you to visit our Winery, where the passion for wine meets the gastronomic tradition of the Roero region.
You’ll find a variety of tasting experiences designed to satisfy every palate. Our tastings include local cured meats, cheeses, and other typical products, paired with our wines.
Whether for a special event, a celebration, or a group visit, our team is available to create a tailor-made experience, customizing the tastings based on your preferences.
